HEIDENHAIN LIP 382 Exposed Linear Encoder

The HEIDENHAIN LIP 382 is an incremental exposed linear encoder for very high accuracy. The optical scanning head reads a DIADUR phase grating on a Zerodur glass-ceramic measuring standard; the measuring standard is fastened with screws.

• Interface: 1 VPP incremental signals with a 0.128 µm signal period. No reference marks.
• Selection: HEIDENHAIN lists measuring lengths of 70, 120, 150, 170, 220, and 270 mm, with a ±0.5 µm accuracy grade (higher grades on request). Confirm your exact length, interface electronics, and mounting setup before quoting.
• Application note: The unmounted scanning head uses a Class 3B laser; follow HEIDENHAIN's installation and laser-safety instructions.
