Master setting discs are used for setting comparators, snap gages and other precision gages. They are furnished with insulating grips to prevent heat distortion. All conform to ANSI B47.1. Unless otherwise specified, the gagemakers tolerance will be applied bilaterally (split 1/2 plus, and 1/2 minus) on styles #1 and #3. On style #2, tolerances will be unilateral, minus on the GO, and plus on the NO GO section. All discs are lapped to size and polished. Roundness and taper of all gages will not exceed 50% of the applicable gagemakers size tolerance and are non-accumulative.
Taperlock cylindrical plug gages are made from an oil hardening tool steel in conformance to ANSI Standard B47.1 Gage makers tolerance will be applied plus on the GO member and minus on the NO GO member unless otherwise specified.
Trilock cylindrical gages are made from an oil hardening tool steel in conformance to ANSI Standard B47.1. Gage makers tolerance will be applied plus on the GO member and minus on the NO GO member unless otherwise specified.
The Progressive style plug gage is a single end gage having GO and NO GO members combined. This enables complete inspection of a hole to be performed with one insertion of the gage. Progressive cylindrical plugs conform to ANSI Standards.
The design of the reversible plug permits the members to be reversed end for end, in the handle, resulting in double wear life.
