Plain cylindrical rings are available in steel, chrome and carbide, and conform to ANSI B89.1.6-1984 standards. GO and NO GO rings are made from blanks of the same dimensions. An annular groove in the periphery of the NO GO ring distinguishes it from the GO ring. Gage makers tolerance will be applied minus on the GO and plus on the NO GO. All rings, regardless of size, are lapped to size and polished. Non-gage areas are black oxided and ring faces are surface ground. Roundness and taper of all gages will not exceed 50% of the applicable gage makers size tolerance and are non-accumulative.
