HEIDENHAIN EIB 100 Signal Converters (EIB 192)

The HEIDENHAIN EIB 100 series converts incremental 1 VPP encoder signals to a serial position interface. The EIB 192 family combines up to 16 384-fold subdivision with an IP65 housing. EIB 192, EIB 192 F and EIB 192 M provide EnDat 2.2, Fanuc Serial Interface and Mitsubishi high speed interface outputs, respectively.

Configuration and compatibility

The encoder ID, line count or signal period, and reference-mark increment must be configured for the connected encoder. This programming is performed by HEIDENHAIN. Position values are relative after switch-on until the reference marks have been traversed. EnDat controls must support the incremental-encoder device profile. The EIB 192 cannot be combined with EIB 2391 S or EIB 3391 S DRIVE-CLiQ converters, which accept absolute encoders.
