HEIDENHAIN EIB 3392 S DRIVE-CLiQ Signal Converter
The HEIDENHAIN EIB 3392 S is a cable-design signal converter that connects compatible absolute encoders with an EnDat 2.2 interface to a DRIVE-CLiQ interface. After switch-on, it checks the connected encoder and adapts to its characteristics. The specifications below apply to firmware version 15.

Compatibility and safety
Supported encoder families include specified versions of LC, LIC, RCN, ROC, ECN, ECA, ECM, MRP, SRP, ECI, EQI and AT encoders. EnDat22 alone does not establish compatibility: check the encoder supply range, firmware and the detailed compatibility list. Incremental EnDat encoders and encoders with a battery-buffered revolution counter are not supported by this product information. Certain EnDat22 encoders, including LC 1x3, LC 4x3 and ECN 225, cannot be connected because of their supply-voltage range.
Functional safety depends on the connected encoder, downstream electronics and software configuration. Under the stated conditions, applications up to SIL 2 and Category 3, PL d are supported. The converter does not itself determine the safe position. Use the product information to confirm the complete safety requirements and the minimum downstream firmware versions. The EIB 3392 S must be fastened, for example with a 20 mm cable clamp.
