- Reference marks: two (the LS 403 C is distance-coded).
- Traversing speed up to 48 m/min. Vibration 30 m/s². Shock 100 m/s² without spar, 200 m/s² with spar. Moving force under 6 N.
- Operating temperature 0 °C to 50 °C, storage –20 °C to 70 °C. Weight 0.1 kg + 0.5 kg/m. Cable 3 m with connector.
