HEIDENHAIN TT 460 Wireless Tool Touch Probe
The HEIDENHAIN TT 460 is a wireless tool touch probe for measuring tool length and radius and checking tool wear or breakage on machine tools. Radio or infrared transmission connects it to a compatible transceiver. Request a quote with the probe ID, machine, control and transceiver details.
Technical Data

- Signal transmission: radio or infrared, selectable, with 360° emission to the transceiver
- Transceivers: SE 660 or SE 661
- Interface: HTL or EnDat 2.2 via the transceiver
- Switch-on/off: radio or infrared signal from the transceiver
- Power supply: two batteries, 1 V to 4 V each, size 1/2 AA or LR1
- Operating time: typically 90 h with alkaline batteries; typically 400 h possible with lithium batteries
Mounting and configuration
Mount on the machine table with fixing clamps, a quick-release magnetic base or an accessory mounting base. Select the mounting arrangement, probe contact and transceiver to suit the machine. The SE can be shared with a TS 460 workpiece touch probe; the EnDat interface requires the SE 661.
Battery operating time can be reduced by high ambient radio traffic or frequent, short probing intervals. Match the complete interface and machine connection before choosing a replacement.
