Application notes

For maintenance and field service teams, the PWT 101 is a portable first check when an encoder is suspected of losing position or its output needs inspection. Connect the encoder directly to the tester to inspect its functions and support adjustment; its 4.3-inch touchscreen and service case suit work at the machine. It does not by itself identify every fault in the control or machine wiring.

Compatibility: HEIDENHAIN lists incremental and absolute encoders, but the right connecting cable, adapter and supported interface depend on your encoder's exact ID. Send a photo of the ID label and interface details before ordering. If you need inspection while the encoder stays in the closed control loop, ask about the PWM 3000 instead.
