HEIDENHAIN TD 110 Tool Breakage Detector

HEIDENHAIN TD 110 Tool Breakage Detector

The HEIDENHAIN TD 110 is a non-contact inductive tool breakage detector for HSS and carbide tools. It checks tools as they pass the sensor while rotating, including microtools down to 0.4 mm diameter. Request a quote with the detector ID, machine, control and mounting details.

Technical Data

  • Detection method: inductive, non-contact
  • Minimum tool diameter: 0.4 mm, with a minimum tooth length of 2 mm

  • Cable length: ≤ 30 m
  • Vibration, 55 Hz to 2000 Hz: ≤ 200 m/s², EN 60068-2-6
  • Shock, 6 ms: ≤ 300 m/s², EN 60068-2-27
  • Operating temperature: 10 °C to 50 °C
  • Storage temperature: -20 °C to 70 °C
  • Protection: IP66/68 when connected
  • Mass: approximately 0.24 kg

Installation and configuration

Position the detector in the work envelope where tools can pass it during a tool change. An LED indicates tool detection. The detector does not require a teach-in process or compressed air. Match the sensor position, tool path, cable and control input before selecting a replacement or retrofit.
